MONITORING AND RESULTS MEASUREMENT OFFICER -LUSAKA

Musika invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated and experienced Zambian Nationals to fill the position of Monitoring and Results Measurement Officer to be based in Lusaka.

The MRM Officer will work in collaboration with the Monitoring and Results Measurement Manager in developing data collection tools, conduct data collection, analysis and reporting and present information in form of narrative reports, maps, graphs and charts for use in quarterly and annual reports and other dissemination materials.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Monitoring and Results Measurement Manager in designing data collection tools for surveys and other data collection for quarterly and annual reporting purposes and participate in the review of results chains and measurement plans in line with Musika results chains and measurement plans, interventions, goals and compliance with the DCED standard.
  • Support the Monitoring and Results Measurement manager and research team in conducting market systems analysis, company impact assessments, baselines and participating in the collection of data and supervision of enumerators.
  • Create and manage the MRM database and library of interventions for Musika clients, MoUs, interventions, reports, etc.
  • Document results from testing and demonstration of various technologies to inform decision on intervention scale up or adjustment.
  • To collaborate with other team members in the aggregation of reports for various interventions, with a view to identify key research needs and areas requiring further insight.

Required Qualifications Attributes and Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences, agricultural economics, Development studies, Demography or equivalent
  • Good command of data analysis tools – STATA and Excel is a primary requirement. Proficiency in SPSS as a secondary tool will be an added advantage.
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • An ability to write clearly and coherently and articulate complex issues
  • Good team leading skills: designing and coordinating surveys, and spearheading the enumeration team will be part of the main responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills – both oral and written
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in rural settings when necessary
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer proficiency in word, excel, power point, etc.
  • At least three years’ experience in participatory approaches to planning, monitoring and assessment of development programmes and projects
