HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Musika invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated and experienced Zambian Nationals to fill the position of Human Resource Officer.

The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for the Human Resource and Administrative management systems and processes of Musika. The HRO participates in the development of policies and ensure their timely implementation, coordinates all human resource activities and ensures timely provision of administrative support services to facilitate the smooth operations of the organization. Provide administrative and technical assistance to the Head HR.

Key responsibilities:

  • To administer and maintain up to date personnel files and records
  • Employee Relations
  • Performance Management
  • Tracking input, consolidation and analysis (plans, budgets, forecasts, survey results, market tracking statistics, completed performance appraisal forms and scores etc.)
  • Preparation of reports
  • Administrative and logistic arrangements for recruitment, induction and training and development activities
  • Provide assistance to Head of HR in strategic human resource development and management as and when required
  • Maintain accurate and up to date leave records
  • Respond to staff queries on (a) leave related issues, (b) salaries and other terms of employment related issues, and (c) any other queries
  • Ensure consultants’ tax compliance through submission of claims and collection of WHT tax certificates
  • Process applications for work and residence permits, Workers’ Compensation claims
  • Preparation of monthly payroll data sheet and making sure that staff get paid correctly and on time
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Advising line managers and other employees on employment law and Musika’s employment policies and procedures

Required Qualifications Attributes and Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in in Human Resources Management/Public Administration/Social Work or equivalent.

  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
